Lot #150 - Pati Walton Three Strand Bead & Pearl Necklace with Large Glass Bead Pendant

• Bead chain length 17.5"
• Pendant 1.75" x 3.25"
• Clasp marked 925, bail also 925 (unmarked)
• Pati Walton described her process to us as follows: "I work on a torch. It is all glass. I pull the glass rods in the flame into stringers thinner than a toothpick. I use the stringers to design the flowers all in the flame of the torch. The butterfly I make in sections and pull the completed butterfly into a small diameter rod and slice thin pieces of it to use in my beads. The butterfly slices are called murrine. I have several different butterflies. After I finish the scene I melt clear glass over it. In the bead above, I covered the basic scene with clear and designed the flowers over the clear."
