WHY DO YOU REQUIRE A CREDIT CARD IN ORDER FOR ME TO BID? To maintain the integrity of our online bidding process, our platform only accepts bids from people whose credit cards are valid, registered and vetted by our credit card processing platform (Stripe). This also allows you to be confident you are not in a bidding match with an insincere bidder who is driving up the price yet never intends to pay. Rest assured we have no access to your credit card information, that is managed by Stripe, they give us zero access to your CC number or personal info.

HOW DO I BID? Once registered, you will see a red box that says "place Maximum Bid" where you can bid place your bid. You can enter the next increment up, that amount will be shown, or you can place your maximum bid (the most you are willing to pay for the item) and start the automatic bidding process which is explained below. Most lots start at $5 with no hidden reserves.
WHAT IS AUTOMATIC BIDDING (Proxy Bids)? Automatic bidding is the easiest way to bid on an auction. Simply enter the highest price you’re willing to pay for an item, and we'll do the rest.
To start the automatic bidding on an auction listing, enter the maximum amount you’d like to pay for the item. We’ll bid in increments on your behalf to keep you in the lead but only up to your limit. You can stay ahead of the competition for an item without needing to be online. NOTE: You have the ability to change your MAX bid at any time.
We’ll let you know if someone outbids you and you can decide if you want to increase your maximum limit.
Bidding is a contractual obligation. When deciding your maximum bid, be sure you’re happy to pay that amount if you win the auction.
Why was I immediately outbid?
If you are outbid immediately after placing a bid, it’s likely that another bidder is using automatic bidding and has a maximum limit higher than yours. You’ll need to increase your maximum limit in order to be the highest bidder.

WHAT IF I BID AND WIN BUT DONT PAY? Bidding constitutes a legally binding agreement to purchase an item. Most auctions here are a family's estate, we have a finite amount of time to sell the items. If you do not pay, we cannot simply re-list the item. You have prevented us from selling it, and we need to pay to have the item removed from the home. If we do not hear from you, we will assume you have decided to abandon the item/items. Your credit card on file will be charged for the invoice amount. If you choose to block us from charging your card in any way, you will be permanently removed as a registered user on this website and a small claims case may be opened.
