This lot includes two distinct pieces of folk and natural art with strong Colorado mountain appeal. The first is a handcrafted welded metal skier sculpture depicting a downhill skier in dynamic action pose, complete with articulated ski poles, skis, and a whimsical bolt-and-hardware constructed figure body mounted on a varnished pine wood base measuring approximately 8 inches long by 5 inches tall. The figure is assembled from found metal hardware components — nuts, bolts, rods, and flat stock — welded together in the tradition of outsider/folk art metalwork popular from the 1970s through 1990s, a style closely associated with Colorado and Rocky Mountain ski culture souvenirs and artisan craft markets. The second piece is a naturally shaped driftwood or weathered hardwood sculpture, approximately 18-20 inches in length, featuring beautifully undulating grain lines, natural cracks, and a partially lacquered or resin-finished top surface that enhances the organic flowing form — ideal as a standalone decorative object or display base. No maker's marks or signatures are visible on either piece. Condition: The metal skier sculpture is in Good condition with light surface oxidation and minor paint loss consistent with age; all limbs and poles appear intact and stable on the wood base. The driftwood piece is in Very Good condition with natural checking and cracking inherent to the material, and a glossy resin spot on the upper surface; no breaks or losses noted. Both pieces make excellent cabin, lodge, or mountain home decor perfectly suited to Colorado's ski country aesthetic.
