Description:

This striking vintage enamelware casserole dish features a bold orange-to-red ombre gradient exterior that is quintessentially Mid Century Modern in style, dating likely from the 1960s-1970s. The round pot is constructed of steel with a vitreous enamel coating in a vivid flame orange exterior that deepens to red-orange at the top, contrasted by a clean cream/off-white enamel interior and rim — a classic color combination popular in European and American kitchenware of the era. The set includes the original domed lid with a loop handle finished in matching orange enamel, and sits in a decorative black wrought iron scrollwork cradle/stand with two side handles featuring elegant scroll detailing, designed for tabletop serving. Estimated dimensions are approximately 10-11 inches in diameter and 5-6 inches deep without the lid; the iron stand adds approximately 2-3 inches of height. This style of enamelware with accompanying iron stand was commonly produced by European manufacturers such as Descoware, Copco, or similar mid-century kitchenware brands popular in the 1960s-70s, and represents the era's enthusiasm for colorful, functional cookware that doubled as serveware. The interior cream enamel shows minor light crazing and very faint surface marks consistent with age and light use, but no significant chips or cracks are visible. The exterior orange enamel is vibrant and largely intact with minor scuffs; the wrought iron stand shows light surface oxidation and minor paint wear consistent with age. Overall condition is rated Very Good for its age — a complete, functional, and visually striking set ready for display or use.
