This lot presents a complete set of four Hasko brand lap trays retaining their original illustrated cardboard box, dating to the 1950s mid-century era. Each tray is constructed of pressed hardboard with a printed wood-grain finish in warm golden oak tones, featuring molded raised edges and notched corner details that provide a subtle lip to contain items. The centerpiece of each tray is a vibrant full-color decal depicting a lush Victorian-style floral bouquet with red poppies, blue flowers, yellow daisies, purple pansies, and green foliage — a classic decorative motif popular in postwar American housewares. Hasko was a well-known mid-century American manufacturer of affordable lap and TV trays, capitalizing on the postwar television boom when Americans increasingly dined and snacked in front of their new televisions. Each tray measures approximately 17 inches long by 8 inches wide, a standard lap-tray size ideal for TV dinner use. The original box features bold red and cream graphics with the Hasko diamond logo and floral vignette, making it a desirable display piece in its own right. Condition is Good overall: the trays show light surface scratches, minor scuffs, and small dark spots (possibly fly specks) on two of the four trays; the floral decals remain largely intact and colorful with minor fading on one tray; the original box shows significant wear including torn corners, crushing, and general age toning but remains intact and holds all four trays. A charming and complete mid-century set with original packaging — increasingly hard to find intact.
