Description:

This is an impressive full Texas Longhorn steer horn wall mount, measuring an estimated 5 to 6 feet tip-to-tip, making it a substantial and commanding piece of Western and ranch-style décor. The horns display a classic natural coloration transitioning from creamy ivory at the polished tips to a rich steel gray and taupe along the main shafts, with a beautiful translucent quality and natural striations characteristic of genuine Longhorn cattle. The center mount features a rustic shaped wooden plaque base with a brown cowhide hair-on hide panel covering the skull cap area, secured with white leather or synthetic wrapping at each horn base junction — a traditional and clean taxidermy presentation style popular in Texas and Colorado ranch décor. Texas Longhorn horn mounts have been prized Western decorative artifacts since the 19th century cattle drive era, representing the iconic breed that shaped the American West and remains a beloved symbol throughout Colorado, Texas, and the broader Rocky Mountain ranch culture. The horns show a high-gloss natural finish with good structural integrity; both horns are firmly attached to the center mount with no visible cracks or splits along the horn shafts. Condition is assessed as Very Good overall — the cowhide panel shows minor matting and light dust accumulation consistent with display use, the wooden plaque base shows minor scuffs and small drill holes visible on the face, and the white wrapping at the horn bases is intact with light soiling. The horn tips are intact with no chips or breaks, and the natural surface shows only minor light surface scuffs. Ready to hang and display as a statement piece in a ranch home, cabin, lodge, bar, or Western-themed interior.
