This substantial lot contains well over 50 individual vintage and mid-century Christmas ornaments packed into a large cardboard box, representing decades of holiday collecting spanning approximately the 1950s through 1990s. The collection includes a diverse array of ornament types and materials: mercury glass balls in silver and red with embossed floral and scroll patterns, large gold-painted natural pine cones, figural ornaments including a green parrot/toucan, penguin, Santa Claus figures, and a knitted elf character, as well as novelty pieces such as a miniature wooden grandfather clock, a gold-tone miniature guitar, a birdcage ornament, a miniature drum with sheet music decoration, red apple and heart-shaped ornaments, a green and white striped satin ball with jewel accent, rhinestone snowflake picks, a miniature Victorian house, toile-patterned ceramic cup ornaments, and gold bead garland strands. Materials represented include blown glass, mercury glass, painted wood, ceramic, fabric/knit, plastic, metal, and natural materials, reflecting the broad range of ornament manufacturing traditions from Eastern Europe, Japan, and domestic US producers active during this era. Condition is overall Good to Very Good for the collection as a whole — the mercury glass balls show expected light silvering loss and minor surface wear consistent with age, some ornament hooks are bent or missing, a few smaller pieces show paint rubs or minor chips, and the cardboard storage box is worn and partially open but functional; no catastrophically broken pieces are visible though buyers should expect minor imperfections throughout given the unsorted, loosely packed storage condition. This is an excellent lot for holiday decorators, vintage Christmas collectors, wreath and garland crafters, or resellers looking for a diverse starter collection of mid-century and later ornaments.
