Description:

This is a hand-signed original color photograph by Lowell Katzlaff, dated 1982 in the lower right margin of the white mat board. The image depicts a serene winter landscape featuring snow-laden evergreen pine trees in the foreground and middle ground, set against a pale, overcast sky with an expansive snow-covered field — a classic Rocky Mountain or Great Plains winter scene highly appealing to Colorado and regional collectors. The photograph is printed in cool blue-gray tones with subtle color, characteristic of early 1980s chromogenic color photography, and displays excellent compositional depth with the large foreground pine framing a lone centered tree in the distance. The piece is professionally presented in a solid oak wood frame with visible grain and warm walnut-toned stain, fitted with a wide white mat board and what appears to be glass glazing, estimating the overall framed dimensions at approximately 18 x 14 inches. Katzlaff's cursive signature and the year '1982' are clearly inscribed in ink on the mat below the image, confirming this as an original signed work rather than a reproduction print. Condition is Very Good overall; the oak frame shows minor surface scuffs and light wear consistent with 40+ years of age, the mat board appears clean with no visible foxing or staining, and the photograph itself shows no apparent fading, tears, or damage. A collectible piece of regional photographic art ideal for cabin, lodge, or Colorado mountain home decor.
