Antique American mantel clock known as the Wizard, manufactured by The E. Ingraham Company of Bristol, Connecticut, USA. The clock case features a black lacquered wooden housing with elegant gold stenciling in floral and scroll motifs on the front, typical of late Victorian styling. The face is circular with Roman numerals and brass trim, protected by a hinged glass door. The lower label confirms it operates with an eight-day movement, includes a half-hour strike, and uses a cathedral gong for chimes, along with a patent regulator for accurate timekeeping. The patent dates listed—September 1, 1885, and August 4, 1896—suggest this model was produced in the late 19th century or early 20th century, a common era for elaborately designed American mantel clocks.
