A hand-carved wooden horse figurine in a folk art style, painted in ochre yellow with black mane and tail, and decorated with polychrome red and green painted scrollwork and a heart-shaped saddle motif. The blocky, angular carving style with a painted eye detail and open mouth is consistent with traditional folk art or tourist trade pieces, possibly Mexican or Eastern European in origin. Condition shows age-appropriate wear throughout including paint loss, surface scratches, and chipping particularly at the hooves and mane; the head appears to be a separate carved piece joined to the body. The piece stands solidly on four legs and displays well from all sides.
