This is a hand-thrown studio art pottery teapot by acclaimed ceramic artist Judi Miller, featuring a bold geometric design with multi-glaze decoration in deep teal green, olive, burgundy, black, and gold. The conical body displays stacked gold squares on a teal ground, a vertical black-and-gold checkerboard stripe dividing the front panels, and a rich burgundy-glazed flat oval lid with an integrated spout and a separate vent hole. The handle and spout are banded in alternating terracotta, black, and dark glaze, consistent with Miller's intentional decorative program. The artist's signature appears on the underside of the piece. Condition appears very good with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs observed; glaze surface shows expected textural variation consistent with the hand-made process. A fine example of contemporary studio ceramics with strong geometric modernist influence.
