Description:

Feel free to use this Space to practice!  You can bid any amount or try placing a high bid to start automatic bidding (the system bids on your behalf) but there is no commitment, bid as many times as you like!  Others will be practicing too so it will be very realistic!

NOTE:  You do NOT need to add zeros in your bid.  If you are bidding ten dollars, just put “10”.  Writing out $10.00 leaves too much room for error (bidding $1000 by mistake).  Keep it simple.  You will also get a window asking you to confirm the amount before placing the bid.

PROXY BID OR MAX BID:

Automatic bidding is the easiest way to bid on an auction. Simply enter the highest price you’re willing to pay for an item, and we'll do the rest.

To start the automatic bidding on an auction listing, enter the maximum amount you’d like to pay for the item. We’ll bid in increments on your behalf to keep you in the lead but only up to your limit.  You can stay ahead of the competition for an item without needing to be online. NOTE:  You have the ability to change your MAX bid at any time.

We’ll let you know if someone outbids you and you can decide if you want to increase your maximum limit.

It is common to place a Max bid, but win the item for less, as long as no one else bids the item UP TO your Max Amount.

Bidding is a contractual obligation. When deciding your maximum bid, be sure you’re happy to pay that amount if you win the auction.

Why was I immediately outbid?

If you are outbid immediately after placing a bid, it’s likely that another bidder is using automatic bidding and has a maximum limit higher than yours. You’ll need to increase your maximum limit in order to be the highest bidder.

There is no extended bidding at the end of the auction time.

WHAT ARE THE BIDDING INCREMENTS? Here is our bidding increments schedule.
