Original gambling in baseball themed artwork from the May 10th, 1922 issue of the Denver Post. Signed by the artist A.W. Steele and presented by Steele to Frank. Albert Wilbur Steele (1862–1925) was a cartoonist with the Rocky Mountain News from 1890 to 1897, and joined the Denver Post in 1897. The first American cartoonist to appear daily in a newspaper, Steele drew front-page cartoons that appeared above the fold in The Denver Post for nearly thirty years. Framed and matted approximately 22” x 22” with light water damage, see photos. Contains the Editor's "OK" for this art to be published in the paper.
