Description:

Lot # 152 - Original Art For Newspaper 1920s by J. Campbell Cory Cartoonist Four Signed Pieces.  The lion drawing from 1918 is 11" x 14".  The little boy from 1921 is 11" x 13".  Father Time from 1922 is 12" x 15" and the dog in car  from 1921 is 15" x 12".  All are original and signed by Cory.  All are in very good condition.  The newspaper article about Cory's death is adhered to the back of the art piece with the lion.  

A Cartoonist from NYC to Chicago to Denver, his final years were as a cartoonist for the Denver Times and the Rocky Mountain News.   He established the Denver Academy of Applied Art with Perce Pearce. Cory died in Denver November 17, 1925, aged 58.
