Description:

This is a classic vintage Radio Flyer wagon, likely a Model 18, constructed from durable red painted steel. The iconic white 'Radio Flyer' logo is visible on the side of the wagon bed, which measures approximately 36 inches long by 17 inches wide. It features four white painted steel wheels with rubber tires, characteristic of wagons produced from the mid-20th century. Radio Flyer wagons have been a beloved American toy since 1917, known for their robust construction and timeless design, often passed down through generations.

This particular wagon exhibits significant wear consistent with its age and intended use. The overall condition is fair to good, with a heavy, honest patina. The red paint shows extensive fading, scratches, and chips, particularly along the edges and corners. The interior bed of the wagon has considerable surface rust and some pitting, indicating prolonged outdoor exposure. The white paint on the wheels is also chipped and rusted, and the rubber tires show cracking and wear, though they appear to hold air. The steering mechanism and handle (partially visible) seem to be intact, but would benefit from lubrication and possibly some restoration for optimal functionality. Despite the cosmetic wear, the steel body appears structurally sound, making it an excellent candidate for restoration or a charming rustic garden display piece.
