Description:

This lot includes two professional-grade surveying and leveling tools: a Macklanburg-Duncan Company red anodized aluminum spirit level approximately 78 inches (6.5 feet) in length, and a telescoping surveyor's grade rod with orange canvas carry bag. The Macklanburg-Duncan level features the embossed manufacturer's stamp reading 'Macklanburg-Duncan Co. Quality Products,' a well-known Oklahoma-based manufacturer of professional construction tools active throughout the mid-to-late 20th century. The level body is constructed of heavy-gauge red-painted aluminum with silver edge rails, multiple oval hand-hold cutouts along the body, and brass-framed bubble vials mounted in adjustable housings — a hallmark of professional-grade levels designed for contractors and tradespeople. The telescoping grade rod is a multi-section aluminum surveying staff with bold black graduation markings on a white background, reading in feet and tenths, consistent with standard surveying rod format used by civil engineers and land surveyors across Colorado and the Mountain West. The orange canvas carry bag with black nylon strap handles provides convenient transport and storage for the grade rod. Condition is Good overall — the level shows honest working wear including surface scratches, paint scuffs, and minor oxidation to the aluminum rails consistent with jobsite use; bubble vials appear intact. The grade rod shows surface soiling and wear to the graduation markings but remains legible; telescoping sections function. Both items are fully functional professional tools ideal for contractors, surveyors, landscapers, and construction professionals working throughout the Denver metro and Colorado Front Range.
