This lot features a vintage Montgomery Ward Powr Kraft steel toolbox in the classic black and red two-tone finish, measuring approximately 22 inches wide by 10 inches tall by 9 inches deep, with a center carry handle and two chrome latch closures on the lid. The box features two pull-out red steel drawers below the main lid compartment, providing three tiers of tool storage — a design popular with mechanics and tradespeople from the 1960s through 1980s. Montgomery Ward's Powr Kraft line was a well-regarded house brand sold through Ward's retail and catalog stores, and this box bears the original embossed Powr Kraft badge on the lower drawer face. The toolbox comes loaded with a substantial collection of drill bits and accessories including a Guardian 29-piece Titanium Nitride High Speed Steel drill bit set, a Drill Master 10-piece 1/8-inch titanium nitride cobalt drill bit set, a Black & Decker 10-piece drill bit set, a 7-piece metal/wood drill bit set made in West Germany, a vintage S-K Tools (made for Gambles) 29-piece drill index set in a gray metal case, assorted loose HSS twist drill bits, router bits, a wire wheel brush attachment, a wool polishing pad, hole saw attachments, a sanding disc, large auger/spade bits, welding gloves, Allen/hex keys, and various other shop accessories. The S-K Tools drill index is a particularly collectible find, as S-K was a premium American tool brand. Condition is Fair to Good overall: the toolbox exterior shows heavy use with scratches, paint loss, surface rust spots, and a partial sticker on the lid; the drawers open and close functionally; latches appear intact; contents are used and show varying degrees of wear but most appear serviceable. An excellent value lot for the Colorado DIYer, garage shop, or tool collector.
