A mid-20th century turquoise enamel Detecto balance beam scale, cast iron with steel balance beam, measuring to 225 lbs. Retains original Detecto globe decal and cast lettering at the base. Once used in the private home office of Dr. Henry Swan II, pioneering Colorado heart surgeon and innovator in open-heart surgery. Displays age-appropriate wear including areas of paint loss and surface rust.
