This eclectic 7-piece collector's lot features a diverse array of vintage and antique decorative objects spanning multiple traditions and materials. The centerpiece items are two cast brass horse brasses — a traditional English equestrian decorative form dating to the 18th and 19th centuries — one depicting a rampant lion (Leo zodiac motif) and the other an Aquarius figure, both with the characteristic scalloped open-frame design and top strap slot used for harness attachment; each measures approximately 3 inches tall. Also included is a natural abalone shell (Haliotis species) displaying the characteristic iridescent mother-of-pearl interior in greens, blues, and pinks, approximately 4-5 inches across, commonly used as a smudge bowl in Native American and spiritual traditions popular throughout the Colorado and Southwest region. A small oval brass trinket box with a fitted lid shows warm aged patina, measuring approximately 2.5 inches long. A round black lacquer or resin lidded box features an engraved or etched floral/insect motif in silver tone on the lid, suggesting possible Asian origin. A round gold-tone filigree compact or trinket box with decorative scrollwork and a central turquoise and red cabochon accent rounds out the collection, along with a single tumbled black obsidian or black onyx polished stone. Condition is overall Good to Very Good; the abalone shell shows natural edge roughness and minor exterior weathering consistent with age, the brass horse brasses display expected oxidation and light surface wear, the brass box shows minor denting and patina, and the lacquer box and filigree box appear intact with no visible chips or breaks noted; the tumbled stone is intact.
