Description:

This outstanding lot of four vintage international souvenir collector spoons spans mid-20th century travel destinations across Europe and North America, representing a classic era of souvenir collecting from approximately the 1950s–1970s. The first spoon features España (Spain) with an ornate silver-tone metal handle topped by a royal crown finial and a detailed enamel coat-of-arms shield displaying the quartered heraldic symbols of Castile, León, Aragon, and Granada — a highly detailed piece with a twisted rope-pattern stem. The second and most visually striking spoon is the Москва (Moscow, Russia) example, constructed in gold-tone metal with an elaborate Art Nouveau-style handle and a large polychrome enamel bowl depicting the Kremlin skyline along the Moscow River, with a separate enamel shield at the top showing an equestrian monument; this piece displays exceptional craftsmanship consistent with Soviet-era tourist souvenir production. The third spoon features a heavily embossed silver-tone handle depicting Niagara Falls in high-relief repoussé detail with cascading water, foliage, and landscape elements across the entire handle face, a style popular with North American souvenir spoons of the 1940s–1960s. The fourth spoon displays a Tour Eiffel (Eiffel Tower) Paris enamel crest in red, white, and blue with a castle-crown finial atop a silver-tone ornate handle with figural detailing. Condition is overall Good to Very Good for the group: the España spoon shows moderate tarnish and darkening consistent with age; the Moscow spoon retains vivid enamel with minor wear to the gold plating at high-contact points; the Niagara Falls spoon shows light tarnish and surface wear; the Paris Eiffel Tower spoon is in good condition with intact enamel. All four spoons are structurally sound with no bends, cracks, or missing elements. An ideal starter or addition to an established souvenir spoon collection.
