This exceptional lot comprises seven limited edition collector plates from Bing & Grøndahl's prestigious 'Christmas in America' series, produced by the renowned Copenhagen Porcelain manufactory founded in 1853 and appointed purveyor to the Danish Royal Court. The series spans years identifiable from the images including 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, and additional years, each plate hand-decorated in the classic cobalt blue underglaze technique that made Danish porcelain world-famous. Scenes depicted include a steam locomotive (Christmas 1993), a Mississippi riverboat (Christmas 1995), the U.S. Capitol building, Independence Hall, a New England church, a dog sled scene (Christmas 1994 'Christmas Eve in Alaska'), and a Tudor-style home, each capturing iconic American Christmas imagery with extraordinary detail and relief work. Each plate measures approximately 7 inches in diameter and features the year and 'Christmas' inscription along the upper rim with a white border, and carries the Bing & Grøndahl crown mark on the reverse. Critically, this lot includes the original Certificates of Authenticity signed by Managing Director Leonhard Schröder, confirming limited production runs restricted to the year of issue — a significant provenance asset that substantially enhances collector and resale value. Condition is Very Good to Excellent overall; plates display vibrant cobalt glaze with no chips or cracks observed, minor surface handling marks possible but no significant damage noted; certificates show light age toning and minor creasing consistent with storage.
