This lot features a Darton compound bow finished in a woodland camouflage pattern, identifiable by the prominent Darton brand medallion affixed to the riser. Darton Archery, founded in Hale, Michigan, has been producing quality compound bows since the 1970s and is well regarded among deer hunters and bowhunting enthusiasts throughout the Midwest and Rocky Mountain West, including Colorado's popular archery elk and deer seasons. The aluminum riser is finished in a multi-tone green and black camo dip pattern with a molded black grip, and the limbs are similarly camo-finished with dual cam/wheel system at each tip connected by a multi-strand black bowstring and cable system. Included accessories add significant value: a Kwikee Kwiver Co. bow-mounted quiver (Acme, Michigan) is attached at the upper riser, holding two aluminum arrows with green feather fletching, and a black plastic arrow rest and sight bracket are mounted to the riser. The stabilizer/arrow rest arm shows white oxidation and wear to the aluminum finish. Condition is rated Fair to Good — the bow shows honest field use including scratches and scuffs to the camo finish on the riser and limbs, oxidation on the aluminum arrow shaft and stabilizer rod, wear to the quiver body, and the cam wheels show surface patina; strings appear intact but should be inspected by a qualified archery technician before shooting. Buyers are advised to have draw weight, draw length, and timing professionally checked prior to use. An ideal starter bow or hunting season ready setup for Colorado archery hunters.
