This impressive 7-piece collection of handcrafted plasma-cut steel wildlife sculptures depicts salmon, trout, and a grizzly bear — iconic subjects perfectly suited for Colorado mountain lodge, cabin, or rustic Western home décor. Each piece is cut from raw mild steel plate using a plasma torch, with the characteristic slag-edged silhouettes and weld-bead surface detailing that define this popular handmade metalwork style. The largest piece — a salmon or king chinook — measures approximately 24-26 inches in length and features detailed fin, scale, and gill etchings achieved through weld bead work directly on the steel surface. The remaining six pieces range from approximately 6 to 14 inches and include multiple trout/salmon silhouettes in varying sizes and one grizzly bear cutout, all displaying similar hand-welded surface texture detailing. The raw steel finish gives each piece a natural industrial patina with silver, grey, and dark charcoal tones that will continue to develop character over time, or can be sealed with clear coat to preserve the current finish. No maker's mark or signature is visible, consistent with small-batch artisan production common to Colorado, Montana, and Pacific Northwest craft metalworkers. Condition is Good to Very Good overall; several pieces show light surface rust spotting, minor edge oxidation, and grinding marks consistent with fresh fabrication and brief outdoor or garage storage. One smaller fish shows a small stress crack near the tail fin area, and a few pieces display minor warping from the plasma cutting heat process — all typical and expected for this style of handmade metalwork. These pieces are ready for wall mounting with appropriate hardware and would make a striking grouping for a fishing cabin, mountain home, or sporting lodge.
