Description:

This lot features a heavy-duty bench grinder/buffer setup consisting of a cast aluminum electric motor bolted to a fabricated steel base plate, with a mounted abrasive/buffing wheel on the arbor shaft. The motor appears to be a repurposed appliance-style motor (likely from a washing machine or similar appliance) that has been custom-mounted to a thick steel plate base using four heavy bolts, creating a functional bench grinder or buffer unit — a common shop-built tool setup popular in garages and machine shops throughout Colorado and the Mountain West. The motor housing is cast aluminum with ventilation slots, and the unit retains its power cord. Included in the lot is a large bag of assorted grinding and buffing accessories including multiple wire wheel brushes (crimped and knotted styles), grinding/sanding discs, a wool buffing pad, rubber-backed sanding discs, and a Tool Chest brand 5-inch (127mm) sanding disc set (Stock No. 125, fine/medium/coarse) compatible with Black & Decker, Rockwell, McGraw, Craftsman, and other rotary sanders. The accessory bag represents significant added value for any metalworker, fabricator, or hobbyist. Condition is Fair to Good — the motor and base show heavy shop use with grease, grime, surface rust, and paint loss throughout; the power cord appears intact but should be inspected by a qualified electrician before use; functionality of the motor is unknown and sold as-is. The accessory wheels and discs show varying degrees of use, with some appearing lightly used and others well-worn. Buyer assumes all responsibility for testing and safe operation of this equipment.
