This impressive lot includes approximately 20+ collectible annual Christmas plates from two highly sought-after European porcelain makers: Berlin Design (West Germany) and Bing & Grondahl (Copenhagen, Denmark, established 1853). The Berlin Design plates feature the classic cobalt blue and white underglaze decoration depicting traditional European Christmas scenes, approximately 7.5 inches in diameter, and come in their original brown branded boxes. The Bing & Grondahl plates are from the 'Christmas in America' collection series, also rendered in the iconic Copenhagen blue and white porcelain, with one clearly dated 1986 depicting a colonial American building with horse-drawn carriage in a winter night scene — a hallmark of B&G's legendary annual plate tradition dating back to 1895. Berlin Design plates were produced by the Bareuther & Co. porcelain factory in Bavaria and are highly collectible among European Christmas plate enthusiasts. The Bing & Grondahl 'Christmas in America' series, produced from 1986 onward, celebrates iconic American landmarks and holiday traditions in the classic Danish blue-and-white style. Expert observations: plates appear to retain their original foam and cloth wrapping, suggesting careful storage; original boxes present for most pieces. Condition is overall Very Good to Excellent — plates appear free of chips or cracks based on visible examples, with bright cobalt glaze and crisp white relief decoration intact; some boxes show minor shelf wear but remain structurally sound.
