This listing presents a matched pair of vintage brass urn-form vases in the classical amphora tradition, each featuring a bulbous body, flared trumpet neck, and a stable circular pedestal foot. The most distinctive decorative element is the applied rope-twist gadroon banding that appears consistently at the rim, base of the foot, and on the twin loop handles — a hallmark of quality brasswork associated with Anglo-Indian and Middle Eastern export production from the mid-20th century, approximately 1950s–1970s. Each vase is constructed of spun and hand-finished brass sheet with soldered seams visible at the neck join and handle attachment points, indicating hand-craftsmanship rather than die-cast production. The warm golden brass tone displays the characteristic depth and variation of aged natural brass, with areas of deeper amber and olive patina developing across the body surfaces. Estimated dimensions are approximately 11–12 inches tall and 7–8 inches at the widest point of the body, making these substantial statement pieces suitable for floor or mantel display. The base of one vase reveals scratched markings that may represent a maker's mark or inventory notation, though no clear manufacturer stamp is fully legible. Condition is rated Good to Very Good overall: both vases display honest surface wear including light scratching across the bodies, areas of tarnish and natural patina particularly on the undersides and interior rims, minor verdigris spotting on the base of one vase, and slight darkening at the solder seams — all consistent with age and use. Structurally both vases are sound with handles firmly attached and bases sitting flat and stable. These pairs are highly sought by Colorado interior designers and collectors for Bohemian, Hollywood Regency, and eclectic Western home decor.
