Description:

This three-piece silver-plated bar set consists of a tall cocktail pitcher with angular handle, a footed brandy snifter-style cup, and a long-handled bar spoon with a round bowl and cylindrical end cap — a classic mid-century home barware grouping likely dating to the 1950s–1960s. The pitcher features a sleek, elongated ovoid body with a squared angular handle and a beaded detail rim on the stepped circular base, consistent with American silver plate production of the postwar era by manufacturers such as Oneida, Reed & Barton, or similar EPNS (electroplated nickel silver) makers. The footed snifter cup displays a rounded balloon bowl on a stepped pedestal base, a form popular for individual cocktail service and often sold as part of coordinated barware sets during the mid-century cocktail culture boom. The long bar spoon, approximately 10–11 inches in length, features a slender rod shaft with a small round bowl at one end and a cylindrical finial at the other, typical of period cocktail stirring spoons used with pitchers of this type. No maker's marks are clearly legible in the photographs, though the construction quality and form are consistent with American or European silver-plate production. Condition is rated Fair to Poor overall: all three pieces display heavy tarnish, oxidation, and significant silver plate loss revealing the base metal beneath, presenting as dark blotchy patches, iridescent blue-purple discoloration, and copper-toned areas particularly pronounced on the pitcher base and snifter bowl; the pitcher shows scattered pitting and oxidation spotting across the body; the spoon bowl shows heavy tarnish and pitting. All pieces are structurally intact with no dents, cracks, or missing components noted. These pieces are ideal for polishing and restoration, display, or as prop pieces, and would benefit from professional silver plate re-plating to restore their original appearance.
