This is a Kodak Brownie Junior Six-20 box camera, produced by Eastman Kodak Company during the 1930s and designed to use 620 roll film. The camera features a striking Art Deco faceplate finished in gold-tone etched metal with a bold geometric linear pattern, housing the single-element meniscus lens at center, flanked by two round viewfinder windows with chrome-like bezels — a hallmark design of the Six-20 Junior series. The body is covered in black leatherette (faux leather) with a pebbled texture, and the camera retains its original embossed black leather carry strap with metal stud fasteners, still legible with 'Brownie' embossing. A film advance knob is visible on the side along with the red window cover for monitoring film advance, and the front faceplate is secured by four corner screws. The Brownie line was Kodak's legendary entry-level camera series, democratizing photography for everyday Americans from 1900 onward, with the Six-20 Junior introduced in the mid-1930s as an affordable snapshot camera for families. Condition is rated Good for its age: the Art Deco faceplate shows noticeable tarnishing, discoloration, and wear to the gold-tone finish particularly around the lens surround and lower panel; the leatherette body is intact with minor scuffs and corner wear; the carry strap shows cracking and age-related deterioration at the lower strap end; the lens glass appears present and intact. Overall a solid display piece and collectible camera for vintage photography enthusiasts.
