This lot includes a Kodak Autographic folding camera, model No. A-130, accompanied by its original black leather carrying case with the embossed Eastman Kodak 'EK' brass-like monogram clasp marked 'Made in USA.' The Autographic series was introduced by Eastman Kodak Company around 1914, featuring the innovative autographic back system that allowed photographers to write notes directly onto the film negative using a stylus — a groundbreaking feature for its era. The camera body is covered in the classic black pebbled leatherette over a metal frame construction, displaying the iconic Kodak nameplate badge on the front door panel. The back panel clearly shows the autographic door with its sliding stylus holder, red ruby viewing window for film advancement, and the embossed plate reading 'Use Autographic Film No. A-130.' The camera retains its original wrist strap and all mechanical components appear present. The leather carrying case features the original EK brass-like twist-lock closure and shoulder strap. Condition is rated Good for its age of approximately 100 years: the leatherette shows expected wear, scuffing, and some lifting at edges; the case shows significant surface wear, scuffs, and darkening consistent with heavy use; the autographic stylus is present; mechanical function of the bellows and shutter has not been tested and is sold as-is for display or collector purposes.
