This remarkable lot consists of a Brumberger Model 1150 metal 35mm slide storage case, manufactured by Brumberger Co., Inc. of Brooklyn, NY, filled with an extensive collection of approximately 150 or more individually cataloged 35mm color slides dating primarily from the 1950s and early 1960s. The metal case features a hinged lid with a handwritten index card cataloging all slides by number and subject, and the interior is divided into multiple vertical slot sections allowing organized upright storage of the entire collection. The slides themselves are mounted in cardboard mounts, many stamped 'Made in U.S.A.,' and cover an extraordinary range of subjects with heavy Colorado and Rocky Mountain West emphasis including: Estes Park, South St. Vrain Canyon, Twin Sisters Peak, Grand Teton National Park, Yellowstone Park, Glacier National Park, Aspen (Silverplume, Georgetown, Equaw Pass), Nederland, Cripple Creek, Bennett Avenue, Gold Rush Days, Molly Kathleen Mine, Stratton Mine, Lake Louise, Waterton Canada, Banff Springs Hotel, Bow River, and Bow Falls — making this an exceptional primary source archive for Colorado and Rocky Mountain history. Additional slides document personal family events including Christmas gatherings dated 1953, a wedding from June 12, 1954, communion, church events, and portraits of individuals including Agnes Gustafson, Naomi Gustafson, Trixie Dolphin, and the Dolphin family, providing rich mid-century social history documentation. The handwritten index on the lid lid is legible and detailed, numbering slides sequentially up to at least 150, with subjects written in neat cursive ink. Condition is Good to Very Good overall; the metal case shows light surface wear, minor scuffs, and age patina to the exterior, while the slides appear intact within their mounts with no obvious damage visible from exterior inspection — individual slide image quality has not been verified on a light box and is sold as-is. An outstanding archive for Colorado history collectors, genealogists, vintage photography enthusiasts, and Rocky Mountain West researchers.
