Cream stoneware adaptable hot water bottle or bed warmer. Jug has black transfer lettering from Ye Olde Fulham Pottery, founded in 1671 by John Dwight. Collectible British pottery with rustic farmhouse charm.
Fulham Pottery is historically significant as the first pottery in England to perfect large-scale manufacture of salt-glazed stoneware. Items like this were commonly used in the early 20th century as foot or bed warmers by filling them with hot water and sealing them with a stopper.
