Description:
This is a bedroom chest of drawers featuring a dramatic black and gold finish with faux marble top surface. The piece features five full-width drawers constructed of engineered wood with a deep espresso black lacquer finish accented by distressed gold/bronze highlighting along the drawer dividers, pilaster columns on the sides, and decorative base apron. The top surface displays a convincing faux marble laminate in black with brown and gold veining, edged with an ornate egg-and-dart carved crown molding frieze beneath it — a hallmark of baroque-inspired traditional bedroom collections from the 2000s-2010s. Each drawer is fitted with decorative antiqued brass-tone bail pull hardware featuring scrollwork and floral rosette backplates, varying slightly in size from top to bottom, with the largest pulls on the top and bottom drawers. The fluted pilaster columns on both sides add architectural formality, and the scalloped bracket base completes the traditional aesthetic. Estimated dimensions are approximately 36 inches wide x 18 inches deep x 52 inches tall. Condition is rated Very Good; the finish shows minor wear and light scuffing consistent with normal household use, the faux marble top has light surface marks visible under direct light, all five drawers appear to operate smoothly, all hardware is present and intact, and no major chips, cracks, or structural damage are observed. A solid, functional bedroom storage piece that works well in traditional, Old World, or formal bedroom settings popular throughout Colorado's Front Range and mountain communities.
