This is a vintage wet tile or masonry table saw powered by a Dayton capacitor start AC motor, dating to approximately the 1950s-1960s. The red Dayton nameplate label is clearly visible on the motor housing, identifying it as a capacitor start AC motor — Dayton being a well-known industrial motor brand manufactured by W.W. Grainger, long trusted in American workshops and trades. The unit features a welded steel angle-iron open frame base, a flat metal table top surface approximately 14x14 inches, a diamond or abrasive blade (partially visible beneath the table guard), a cast aluminum carry handle, and a belt-drive pulley system connecting the motor to the blade arbor. The heavy-gauge black rubber power cord is original and intact. This type of wet saw was commonly used by tile setters, masons, and contractors for cutting ceramic tile, stone, and masonry materials. Condition is Fair to Good for its age — the unit shows heavy surface oxidation, dust accumulation, and grime consistent with decades of workshop use; the metal table surface has significant scratching and surface rust; the motor housing shows paint loss and corrosion; the frame is structurally intact with no visible cracks or broken welds. Electrical condition and motor function are untested and unknown — buyer should have the unit inspected by a qualified electrician before use. Blade condition is unclear from photos. Sold as-is for restoration, parts, or display.
