This vintage Native American-themed decorative doll stands approximately 14 inches tall and is presented on a white plastic display stand. The doll features a hard plastic molded face with painted brown eyes, defined brows, and realistic facial features, topped with long black synthetic rooted hair adorned with blue feathers and beaded hair ties at the back. The costume is an elaborate handcrafted ensemble constructed primarily of cream/off-white yarn fashioned into a heavily fringed tunic and leggings, with the fringe strands twisted and hanging freely throughout the garment. Decorative seed beads in red, black, silver, teal, and multicolor are strung throughout the costume including a beaded necklace collar at the neck and bead-tipped fringe strands across the chest and skirt. The lower portion of the costume incorporates what appears to be natural feathers or fur trim, adding textural authenticity to the piece, and the feet are wrapped in crocheted moccasin-style booties. Dolls of this type were commonly produced as souvenir and collectible items from the 1960s through 1980s, popular throughout the American Southwest and Rocky Mountain region including Colorado tourist markets. Condition is Good overall; the hair is somewhat disheveled and frizzy, a safety pin is visible at the neckline likely used to secure the costume, some yarn fringe shows minor tangling, and the beadwork remains largely intact with no obvious missing beads; the display stand is included and functional.
