The costume is completed with a white lace petticoat peeking beneath the coat hem, silver ball buttons down the front bodice, and black lace-up leather-look boots. Dolls of this style were produced prolifically during the 1980s–1990s collector doll boom by manufacturers such as Ashton-Drake, Danbury Mint, and numerous smaller cottage producers, making them popular holiday display and gift items that remain sought after by Christmas decor collectors today.
