Large collection of Japanese-style black lacquerware dinnerware by Caprice, marked 'The Haldon Group MCMLXXXVIII - A Clarence House Design' on the bases. Features multiple hand-painted designs including birds, peonies, wisteria, cherry blossoms, and exotic birds on a deep black gloss ground with gold accent branches. The set includes multiple dinner plates, salad/dessert plates, saucers, and teacups — appearing to total 30 or more pieces — each with a distinct floral and bird motif rendered in pink, green, blue, and gold tones. Condition appears very good with pieces individually wrapped in teal tissue and foam for storage; minor surface scratches are visible on some plates in close-up photos. The white teacups and saucers contrast the black plates and appear to be a coordinating set. Each plate features a unique scene, making this a decorative as well as functional collection.
