This three-piece set consists of a hand-painted ceramic pitcher and two round lidded jars decorated in a bold, whimsical folk art style featuring black-and-white checkerboard patterns, swirls, stripes, and vivid multicolor glazes in teal, yellow, orange, magenta, and green. By Marcia Bernstein. The pitcher displays hand-painted tropical leaf and floral motifs on its body with a black-and-white vertical stripe base band and blue-and-black checkered rim; the two lidded jars each feature sculptural ball-shaped finials with a small checkered flag-style side accent. The interior of the pitcher shows an unglazed terracotta-toned finish consistent with hand-thrown pottery, and all three pieces display a high-gloss glaze exterior. All lids are present and intact; no chips or cracks are visible in the photos, though minor glaze crazing is noted on one jar. The maker's mark is visible on the base. The style is consistent with late 1990s–2000s whimsical studio art pottery.
