Description:

Lot # 664 - RARE FIND Set of Two Great Lakes Area Tribes Birch Bark Bowl Baskets decorated w/ Porcupine Quills.  These two special shallow bowls have a base bottom of birch bark and sweet grass makes up the edging.  The bark is decorated with porcupine quills.  Common to the Great Lakes' tribes.  Very old.  One of them has some quills that have fallen off, see photos.  Otherwise very good condition.  Each measures 8.5" diam and 1.5" high.
