Lot # 590 -Chinese Imperial Court Buddhist Peking Yellow, Green & Red Glass Chao Zhu Prayer Beads- 79" Necklace 

Extra-long size- measures 61" plus another 18" for the drop pendant. Total Length 79" 

19th c. necklace called Chao Zhu is worn in the Chinese Mandarin Court by Imperial family and court officials from the Qing Dynasty.  These necklaces were an important part of Qing ceremonial dress.  This style of necklace is typical of Buddhist Mala Prayer Beads. The beads are all hand-blown glass, called Peking Glass of superb quality and color.
