Description:
Measures 108"L x 34"D - 28" Low profile back height and 16" Seat height. Wooden legs. Includes a newspaper article on the designer.
This sofa is clean and has no tears. It does show wear on the fabric from seating patterns. The cushion is one solid cushion and is removable. The cushion inside was probably more comfortable long ago, it is stiff in some places.
SOFA: mid-century modern design by Harvey Probber, a pioneering American furniture designer credited with popularizing modular seating. Based on the curvature, button-tufting, and architectural silhouette, this piece likely dates from the 1950s or early 1960s, and it's representative of Probber's high-end residential and hospitality seating work.
