Description:
A classic and highly collectible mid-century decorative piece, this framed “Nantucket” print is a reproduction of an original etching by Lionel Barrymore. Rendered in a gold-etch process on foil, the piece captures a dramatic maritime scene with sailboats, seabirds, and a fisherman navigating rolling waves—full of movement and coastal charm.
Barrymore, widely known for his acting career, was also an accomplished artist, and his etchings gained popularity posthumously. These gold-etch reproductions became especially sought-after in the 1950s–1970s for their warm tone and dimensional effect.
