Offered is a group of three (3) World War II–era Japanese occupation banknotes, issued by the Japanese government for circulation to military in the Philippines during the early 1940s.
These notes are One Peso denominations, part of the emergency paper money commonly known as Japanese Invasion Money, produced after Japan occupied the Philippines following the fall of U.S. and Commonwealth forces. The designs feature decorative borders, central denomination panels, and serial numbers, printed in blue-green tones typical of Philippine occupation issues.
All three notes show circulated condition, with visible folds, edge wear, creasing, and surface handling consistent with wartime use. No attempt has been made to clean or restore them. Serial numbers are visible and appear sequential or closely related, adding interest for collectors.
Japanese occupation currency from the Philippines is widely collected for its strong historical significance, representing daily commerce under military rule during World War II. A solid small grouping for collectors of WWII memorabilia, Pacific Theater history, or Asian and Philippine numismatics.
