Offered is a group of vintage Italian paper currency, dating from the pre–World War II period through the Allied occupation of Italy during World War II.
This lot includes:

A Banca d’Italia 10,000 Lire note, representing pre-war Italian national currency

Allied Military Currency notes issued for Italy, including 100 Lire (two examples) and 5 Lire, produced by Allied authorities for circulation during and immediately after liberation
The Allied notes are distinctly marked “Issued in Italy” and were used alongside or in place of national currency during the transitional wartime period. Together, these notes illustrate Italy’s monetary history before and during World War II.
Condition ranges from circulated to heavily circulated, with folds, creases, edge wear, toning, staining, and surface handling consistent with age and wartime use. No cleaning or restoration has been attempted.
This is an appealing collector or study lot, well suited for collectors of Italian currency, World War II history, or Allied occupation money.
