A beautifully crafted and sizable storage chest constructed from thin wooden panels covered with stretched pigskin, which serves as the base for exquisite polychrome painted scenes. The exterior displays depictions of flowers and birds. Fitted with brass side handles and missing a brass front clasp! The interior is lined with a thin blue fabric. A striking piece that merges utilitarian design with rich Qing-era aesthetics.
