Lot # 202 - Tow Large Scrolled Rubbings from England about 4ft long Each ~ Tomb Rubbings Oxford Cambridge. These only say "Oxford or Cambridge" on the back, date and origin unknown. These are made by laying special paper over a tomb and rubbing a relief onto the paper. The paper rolls up into a scroll form. The smaller measures 16" x 44" long and has some folding and wear seen. The larger measures 18" x 47" long and is in decent condition. (Just red string above his head).
