Description:

Lot # 154 -  Native American Signed LE Prints by Louie Ewing Plus The Story of Blackfeet Indians in pictures Linderman.  This lot is in near mint condition.  First is a set of (12) signed hand printed drawings of Native American Art pieces by Louie Ewing 1908-1983. Louie Ewing was said to be a link between the early artists of New Mexico and the present art scene in Santa Fe. 

The other is a set of (24) full color prints by Frank Bird Linderman.  "Out of The North" Portraits of the Blackfeet Indians in Pictures.   Frank Bird Linderman was a Montana writer, politician, Native American ally and ethnographer. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, he went West as a young man and became enamored of life on the Montana frontier. While working as a trapper for several years, he lived with the Salish and Blackfeet tribes, learning their cultures.  1869-1938
