Lot # 122 ~ Original Art Print Mourlot Lithographic Poster Andre Minaux "Tete de Femme" 1963 Paris Exhibit. Measures 22" x 29.5". On Matte paper. Very good condition.
André Minaux was born in Paris (1923 - 1996). He studies at The Decorative Arts School in Paris where he attends Maurice Brianchon and Roland Oudot's classes (1941-1945). In 1945, during his military service in Avignon, Minaux comes across mediterranean light and André Marchand's painting. Towards 1948, the artist discovers lithography in Mourlot's atelier and from now on this technique will be a major part of his work. He realizes still-lives, landscapes, realist scenes with colored elements...
