Description:

This is a GSI Outdoors 12-inch cast iron camp-style Dutch oven, clearly marked with the embossed GSI Outdoors oval logo on both the lid and the pot body. The oven measures approximately 12 inches in diameter as stamped on the lid, and features the classic camp Dutch oven design with three short legs on the bottom of the pot to elevate it over campfire coals, a sturdy steel bail wire handle for hanging or transport, and a flat flanged lid designed to hold hot coals on top for even top-down heat — a hallmark of traditional outdoor Dutch oven cooking. The lid features a low-profile loop handle and a raised rim (flange) to keep coals in place, while the underside of the lid shows the characteristic convex dome shape. GSI Outdoors is a well-regarded outdoor cookware brand popular with campers, scouts, and backcountry cooks throughout Colorado and the Rocky Mountain West, making this a highly practical item for Colorado camping, hunting camp, and overlanding use. The interior of the pot shows a seasoned black patina consistent with use, with some lighter gray areas indicating the seasoning is uneven and may benefit from re-seasoning. Condition is rated Good overall: the pot interior shows use patina and some seasoning inconsistency, the exterior bottom of the lid displays moderate surface rust/oxidation with brown and tan discoloration requiring cleaning and re-seasoning before use, the pot body and legs appear structurally sound with no visible cracks or chips, and the bail handle and lid handle are intact and functional. This oven is fully usable after a proper cleaning and re-seasoning and represents an excellent value for camp cooks.
