Description:

This large lot of vintage backpacking and camping gear is a treasure trove for outdoor enthusiasts, collectors, or budget-minded Colorado hikers and campers. The collection includes multiple external frame backpacks — one notable green canvas/nylon pack with an aluminum frame and webbing straps, a blue nylon pack with partial visible branding reading 'der' (likely Jansport or similar era brand), and a teal quilted sleeping bag or insulated pack cover with black buckle straps. Also included are what appear to be several sleeping bag stuff sacks or sleeping bags in orange, peach/tan (hand-marked 'C. Young'), light blue, and olive green nylon, along with a military-style olive canvas rucksack with leather trim and buckle hardware suggesting 1960s-70s vintage surplus origins. A black cylindrical gear bag (possibly for tent poles or a tripod), a small plastic water bottle/canteen, and various nylon straps, clips, and accessory pouches round out the lot. The external pack frames appear to be aluminum construction typical of 1970s-1980s backpacking gear, a period when Colorado's Rocky Mountain trail culture drove significant demand for this style of equipment. Condition is overall Fair to Good — items show heavy use, soiling, surface dirt, fading, and general wear consistent with decades of trail use; some fabric shows staining and the olive canvas pack has worn leather at the top flap; zippers and buckles appear present but functionality is unverified. This lot is sold as-is and is ideal for camping gear resellers, vintage outdoor gear collectors, or anyone outfitting a budget backcountry trip in the Colorado Rockies.
