This lot presents a pair of Chinese foo lion (shi) figurines in vivid jade green resin or glass, accompanied by their original decorative gift box. The box label clearly identifies these as Art No. 1121, described in Chinese as '十三陵' (Ming Thirteen Tombs / Shisanling) reclining lions, and states 'Made in the People's Republic of China,' indicating these are authentic Chinese export souvenir pieces likely produced from the 1970s–1980s during China's early tourism and export trade era. The figurines depict the classic guardian lion form with detailed carved-style mane, scaled body texture, and alert posture — one seated facing forward and one shown from the rear — both rendered in a translucent apple-green color mimicking nephrite jade. Each figure measures approximately 2–2.5 inches in height and 2 inches in length. The Ming Thirteen Tombs (Shisanling) near Beijing is one of China's most significant imperial burial sites, and souvenir replicas of its stone guardian animals were commonly produced as export gifts and tourist keepsakes. The original decorative box features a traditional Chinese brocade-style pattern in gold, blue, and red with a bilingual label intact. Condition is Very Good overall; the figurines show minimal wear with no visible chips or cracks, retaining their original gloss finish, and the box shows light shelf wear and minor creasing consistent with age but remains structurally intact and complete.
